About The Alpha Lab

Welcome to The Alpha Lab based in School of Software, Dalian University of Technology (DUT), China.

Alpha has the meaning of first in Greek. We borrow this word to express the idea that we pursue being extraordinary not only in academic research, but also in fully exploiting the potential of ourselves. We are a great meritocracy. We value hard work and talents. We embrace the change and the differences.


Our goal is to create innovation through conducting interdisciplinary, application-driven academic research. We are interested in a broad spectrum of cutting-edge research topics including social computing, data science, big data, network science, computational social science, and mobile social networks.

大连理工大学阿尔法实验室（The Alpha Lab）位于大连理工大学开发区校区软件学院，依托辽宁省泛在网络与服务软件重点实验室，开展以实际或未来应用需求为导向、世界级、学科交叉性前沿研究，鼓励科研合作，注重成果的原创性与现实价值。实验室一直致力于培养具有国际视野的优秀人才。

阿尔法实验室的重点研究方向包括社会计算、计算社会科学、大数据、移动社交网络等。现有博士后、博士生、硕士生和高年级本科生共计67人。
